An irritable Bowel syndrome is a disorder of intestine that causes pain in the stomach. The actual cause of the disorder has remained unknown. But doctors and medical professionals believe that this condition is as a result of signals from abnormal nervous system, high level of sensitivity to pain and inability of the body to tolerate with certain foods.

No cure is available for this condition but relieving medications dohelp. Most doctors’ treat this condition by advising change of the type of food that you eat, your lifestyle and give out medications. The reason for this way of treatment is because IBS is all about how you eat and what you eat.

Foods rich in carbohydrates, fiber and herbs such an Aloe Vera help reduce the symptoms. Also drinking a lot of water can help. Foods with high fiber can help but sometimes they do worsen the situation. A certain amount of fiber is recommended per day. Avoid taking foods like dairy products, vegetables that has high amount of gas, fried foods, Caffeine, alcohol and artificial sweeteners. Exercises are recommended for these patients and there should be no smoking.
